Chronicles of a Fading Glory

Analog

Architect / Miles Jakl
Located at Red Hill in Deakin, the Red Hill Lookout was designed by Miles Jakl in 1964, and later expanded by Enrico Taglietti.

Its unique 12-sided structure was a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of its designers, embodying the spirit of a time long gone. Despite its significance and charm, this iconic Canberra landmark has been closed and fenced off for several years, its closure perhaps symbolizing the end of an era.
